The highly anticipated pink ball Test is just one sleep away. After winning the Perth Test with a massive margin, team India is all set to face Australia in the next match in Adelaide. As Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill are back into the second Test match, a concern was raised about team India's combination. But the Indian skipper gave an update about it.

Captain Rohit Sharma is back leading the team after missing the Perth Test due to his son's birth. In his absence, Bumrah led Team India to emerge with a 295-run win in the match. In that match, Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja missed out on being a part of Playing xi. Before stepping into the second Test, the Indian skipper gave a major update about them.

No Ashwin-Jadeja In The Adelaide Test?

The cricket world eagerly awaits the pink ball clash between India and Australia in Adelaide. Before that, captain Rohit Sharma gave a major update about Ashwin Jadeja's role in the next Test. This legendary spin-duo missed the Perth Test, as Team India played depending on pacers, and Washington Sundar was included in the playing xi as the only spin option. Captain Rohit Sharma revealed that the duo is set to miss the second Test as well.

“It's always difficult to leave players like Ashwin and Jadeja out. I certainly see them playing a huge role in the rest of the series. They're quality players," Rohit Sharma stated.

KL Rahul To Open, Rohit Sharma In Middle Order

After playing remarkable innings in the first Test, KL Rahul became a strong contender for the opener role ahead of the second Test. In the second innings, he played 77 runs innings in 176 balls. That was a crucial knock to secure Team India's win. After a lot of buzz, captain Rohit Sharma confirmed KL Rahul's opening role and demoted himself to the middle order.

Along with Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill also missed the first Test due to injury. After playing an excellent half-century knock against Prime Minister's XI, he is set to be back in the team. After coming back to the squad, he is likely to retain his number 3 position in the playing XI.
