Jos Buttler, one of the most dynamic and explosive wicketkeeper-batters in modern cricket, has delivered several memorable innings for England across all formats. England's white-ball captain is celebrating his 34th birthday on Sunday (September 8), and safe to say, that he was the one who led by example ever since taking charge of limited-overs cricket.

Widely known for his aggressive stroke play, inventive shots, and the ability to turn matches single-handedly largely at the top, Buttler has played some remarkable knocks that have defined his career and contributed significantly to England's success. On that note, here are his top 5 knocks in international cricket across all formats.

During the first ODI against New Zealand held at Birmingham in 2015, Jos Buttler stepped out when England was already at a better stage owing to Joe Root's century. However, Buttler took it a notch higher to slam a blistering century at no.6.

His 129 knock off 77 deliveries consisted of 5 sixes and 13 boundaries, which allowed his team to post a gigantic total of 408 batting first.

Jos Buttler once again showed his class ability to thrive on the momentum. In the third ODI against South Africa held last year, Buttler powered England to 346 runs total with a commanding century at no.6.

Dawid Malan had already set the tone with a hundred before Jos added pivotal runs to post a formidable total for his side. South Africa dropped their weapons in a tricky chase as England took home a 59-run massive victory.

In the 2019 tour of the West Indies, Jos Buttler's innings of 150 off 77 balls was one of his most dominant career knocks. Buttler and Eoin Morgan stitched a 200-run partnership, with both batters reaching their respective tons.

However, Buttler batted deep to add 50 more runs, and as a result, England could post 418 runs total in the first innings. Buttler was named player of the match for his blistering knock and also for the contribution of two stumpings as a wicket-keeper.

Jos Buttler's most memorable Test innings was against Pakistan during the 2020 home series. Zak Crawley's double hundred put England in a comfortable spot before Buttler drove his team to the driver's seat with a 152 off 311 balls knock.

After losing Crawley, he built a 50-run partnership with Chris Woakes as England declared the first innings at 583/6 gigantic total. While the host gave a follow on to Pakistan, the match ended up in a draw.

Jos Buttler's destructive 162* against the Netherlands remains one of the fastest and most explosive knocks in ODI history. Coming in at number four, Buttler went on a rampage, hitting 14 sixes and 7 fours, propelling England to a world-record total of 498/4.

This knock not only demonstrated his ability to dominate bowling attacks but also set the tone for England's new, fearless brand of ODI cricket. Needless to say, the Netherlands had no response to the assault and lost the game by a 232-record margin.
