If there’s one man who knows how to turn up the heat under pressure, it’s David Miller. The South African power-hitter has built his reputation as one of the most lethal finishers in world cricket and he lived up to that tag in the 2025 Champions Trophy semi-final against New Zealand.

With South Africa chasing a mammoth 363, Miller walked in at 167/4 with the Proteas in deep trouble. But instead of crumbling, he fought fire with fire and smashed a mind-boggling 67-ball century to keep South Africa in the hunt.

His 100 off 67 balls, featuring 10 boundaries and 4 massive sixes, gave New Zealand a serious scare. Unfortunately, wickets kept falling at the other end and South Africa fell 50 runs short. But Miller’s knock will be remembered as one of the best counter-attacking innings in Champions Trophy history.
