Moreover, she has 12 centuries to her name in this format which is the highest by any England woman in ODIs. She was the highest run-scorer in England’s 2017 World Cup winning campaign. 4. Katherine Sciver-Brunt

At number four on the list is the legendary Katherine Sciver-Brunt, who recently said goodbye to international cricket in 2023. A pace spearhead for England, who made her first ODI appearance back in 2005, went on to hold the record for the most ODI wickets by an Englishwoman (170 wickets)

2. Heather Knight

England’s 2017 World Cup-winning captain Heather Knight stands second on the list of most ODIs played for England women, with 149 appearances. She made her debut way back in 2010 and initially started as a top-order batter.

Later, Knight evolved into a dependable middle-order mainstay, amassing 4,037 runs at an average of 35.10 in her career so far. Known for her calm leadership and gritty performances, she led England to glory in 2017 and remains a vital force in the squad.

Sitting at the top of the list is Charlotte Edwards who represented England in 191 ODI matches in what was a 19-year long career. Widely regarded as one of the greatest women’s cricketers of all time, Edwards was epitome of legacy for her remarkable consistency with the bat.

Her illustrious ODI career saw her score 5,992 ODI runs,the highest ever at the time until surpassed by India's Mithali Raj. At just 17, she smashed an unbeaten 173 in a 1997 World Cup game, the then highest ODI individual score. As captain, she had a significant contribution to English cricket, having famously led the ODI to World Cup glory in 2009.
