India Women’s swashbuckling opener, Smriti Mandhana is on a roll and there is no stopping her. On Sunday morning at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, the stylish southpaw lit up the final of the Women’s ODI Tri-Series against Sri Lanka with a sensational hundred.

Smriti smashed a classy 116 off just 101 balls laden with 15 boundaries and two big sixes. With that knock, she powered India to a big total and also etched her name in history.

This was her 11th century in Women's ODIs and with that, she leapfrogged England’s Tammy Beaumont to move up to third on the all-time list of most hundreds in WODIs. From the teenage prodigy who made waves with her fluent drives to now rubbing shoulders with legends, Smriti’s rise has been staggering.

Here’s a look at the top 5 batters with most hundreds in Women’s ODIs.

5. Hayley Matthews: 9 Hundreds

West Indies’ skipper, Hayley Matthews is a power-hitter who brings that Caribbean flair to the field. Matthews has 9 centuries in just 95 matches, which is some serious conversion rate.

She is known for going big when she’s in. Her highest score of 141 is proof of that. With over 2,900 runs at an average of 33.58 and a strike rate 75.58, Matthews is not just a batter, she is a proper match-winner.

4. Tammy Beaumont: 10 Hundreds

Tammy Beaumont is a proper fighter. England’s reliable top-order batter sits fourth on the list with 10 ODI tons. She has played 127 matches and scored 4,274 runs at an average of just over 40.

Her highest an unbeaten 168 against Pakistan Women is one of the finest knocks in English women’s cricket. Beaumont is known for grinding it out. She may not be the flashiest batter on this list but she knows how to get the job done.

3. Smriti Mandhana: 11 Hundreds

Coming back to Smriti Mandhana, the girl from Sangli, Maharashtra, has truly come of age. With her 11 ODI hundreds, she is now third in the list of most hundreds in Women’s ODIs and she is only 28. That means she has got plenty of time to climb even higher.

Mandhana isn’t just about numbers. She brings intent, elegance and a touch of class every time she walks out to bat. Her cover drives are straight out of a cricket textbook. And now with 4,473 runs in 102 ODIs at an average of 46.59 and a strike rate of 87.79 with 31 fifties, she has become the backbone of India’s batting unit.

2. Suzie Bates: 13 Hundreds

Suzie Bates is the engine room of New Zealand’s batting. The veteran has been around since 2006 and is still going strong in 2025. Over the years, she has stacked up 13 centuries in 171 ODIs.

Bates is a gritty batter. She might not always go the aerial route, but she is rock solid. With 5,896 runs at an average of 39.83 under her belt and a highest score of 168, she is often the glue that holds the Kiwi batting together.

1. Meg Lanning: 15 Hundreds

When you talk about modern-day greats, Meg Lanning tops the chart. The former Aussie skipper played her last ODI in 2023 but left behind a mountain of runs and records. In 103 matches, she slammed 15 hundreds, the most by any woman in ODIs with a high score of 152*.

Lanning had a knack for turning up when it mattered. Whether it was chasing under lights or building a first-innings platform, she was Australia’s go-to batter. With 4602 runs at an average of 53.51 and a strike rate of 92.20, she didn’t just score runs, she scored them fast.
