England Women's three-time World Cup winner Jenny Gunn has announced her retirement from professional cricket after an illustrious career. Aged 36, Gunn represented England across 259 matches, which include 11 Tests, 144 One-Day Internationals (ODI), and 104 T20Is.

The bowling all-rounder has 240 wickets and 2,702 runs across three formats between 2004 and 2019.  The Nottingham-born was the first cricketer to play 100 T20I matches.

Gunn is associated with the Northern Diamonds since taking a retirement from international cricket back in 2019, playing three seasons with them in the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy. She worked as an assistant coach with Northern Superchargers in 2022 The Hundred edition.

Gunn's decision was announced by Diamonds, director of Cricket James Carr.

Carr on Gunn

"Before I knew Jenny personally, I had huge admiration for the international career that she had. It's been a huge privilege for us all to work with her and learn from her. She's produced on and off the field, and she's been one hell of an asset for us."

Gunn was part of England's 50-overs and 20-overs World Cup title victories in 2009. She also won the 2017 World Cup final against India.
