Will Jacks, one of the rising T20 stars in England has hoped to be a part of the Test squad for the three-match series in Pakistan later this year.

Jacks has been in imperious form this year, wherein he has displayed his ball-striking abilities. In the Hundred Men's 2022, he slammed 261 runs in seven innings at a prolific strike rate of 171. 71 for Oval Invincible. In one of his knocks, the top-order batter mustered 108* off 48 balls.

The T20 Blast witnessed him scoring 449 runs in 15 games, with five half-centuries. The consistent performances finally earned him a call-up to the English T20I team. He then hit 40 off 22 balls in his debut against Pakistan.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Jacks thinks he was satisfied with his performance in his debut international match but revealed his ambition to feature for the Three Lions in the red-ball format.

The Surrey batter added that he has been working on his off-spin for quite some time, and can turn out to be useful for the team if they play with two spinners in the Pakistan series.

"Representing England in Test cricket is probably the greatest honour you can have as a cricketer," said Jacks.

"Going to subcontinental conditions is definitely going to help me if two spinners are played but it's a very hard team to break into and only 11 guys that play."

It is known that England has been playing with a lone spinner Jack Leach on the home soil in the recent months. However, they will be needing an extra option in the subcontinent tour, with the immediate one being the Pakistan Tour.

In 41 first-class games, Jacks has garnered 1790 runs and scalped 21 wickets.
