Back in 2014, England hosted a five-match Test series against India, where India could only claim one win and had a disappointing time in the English conditions. Virat Kohli, who was going through a lean patch in his career, visited the home stadium of the Chelsea F.C. in London after the miserable defeat in the fourth Test of the series.

After drawing the first Test, the Indian team managed to seal a victory in the second game as Ishant Sharma's 7-wicket haul helped India win a Test at Lord's. Despite being one up in the five-match series, the Indian team lost the five-match series, losing the next three games on the trott.

When Virat showcased his support for the Chelsea F.C. football club in London

The defeat in the fourth Test was nothing short of shameful for the Indian team, as the visitors lost the game by an innings and that too in less than three days of play. The captain MS Dhoni took everyone to Manchester United's home stadium in Manchester in order to take their minds off the game for a while.

Ahead of the fifth Test which was scheduled to take place at the Oval, Kohli visited Chelsea F.C.'s home stadium and showcased his support towards the club posing with a jersey with his name on it. This visit might have helped him take some time off from the game as he finally scored his first fifty on the tour.

He had a tough time in England and scored less than 200 runs in five Tests and four ODI innings combined. However, he did make a comeback smashing 66 runs in the only T20 which was the last game of India's tour of England and the only fifty Virat scored on the tour but it was too late. Virat Kohli became a different beast after that tour in 2014 and has been ruling the world of cricket to date.
