The internet is quite a fascinating place, where almost anything can be unearthed from times gone by.

Former Pakistan skipper Mohammad Hafeez has been in the news lately for calling Virat Kohli's knocks against New Zealand and South Africa selfish. However, the same selfish player had once gained a number on Hafeez, quite early on in his career during the ICC T20 World Cup 2012 edition.

In a clip that is going viral on social media, Kohli could be seen bowling out Hafeez during India's clash against Pakistan in Colombo, where the former pulled off a breathtaking chase.

The all-rounder batting on a 28-ball 15, got his leg stump rattled after attempting a late cut that chopped the ball onto his own stumps.

Interestingly, Hafeez was Kohli's third T20I wicket out of his total tally of four.

In the match, Pakistan led by Hafeez opted to bat first, where their batting collapsed, and their side folded for 128.  Chasing 129, Kohli led from the front singlehandedly, helping India past the finishing line, scoring a magnificent unbeaten 78 off 61, which included eight fours and two sixes.

In the ongoing World Cup 2023, Kohli has been churning out runs by the bucketloads, amassing 543 runs in seven matches, which include two centuries and four fifties. The former India captain is the second-highest run-getter this tournament, only behind South Africa's Quinton De Kock (550).
