There can be no denying that in India, Cricket is revered like a religion, and cricketers are often treated as gods by the fans. Over the years, we have seen countless devotees of Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, and other cricketing icons go to great lengths to show their respect and admiration for their idols.   

One example of such admiration and respect can be seen in the actions of the renowned YouTuber Gaurav Taneja, famously known as Flying Beast, who has embarked on a bicycle journey from Delhi to Chennai to pay homage to the cricket legend, MS Dhoni. 

Taneja named this initiative, 'Desh Ka Dhoni,', which will see him and his wife, Ritu Rathee, taking on a 2400 km on their two-wheelers. The journey began on April 26th, and the couple has been regularly updating their Instagram page with all the intricate details of their tour. 

In his most recent Instagram reel, Gaurav Taneja left his followers spellbound as he opened up on his unbridled love and respect for MS Dhoni. Here’s what he said: 

“I always dreamed of becoming a cricketer, but it didn’t work out. However, when I watch Mahendra Singh Dhoni play… he’s my lifeline! And I’m sure he’s yours too!"



Along their 2400 km cycling odyssey, they have also arranged for meet-ups for fans to share their heartfelt messages for the Chennai Super Kings captain. 

For those who cannot attend meet-ups, Taneja and his wife have arranged for special message drop boxes in various cities, where fans can leave their love and appreciation messages for the cricketing legend. 

The ‘Desh Ka Dhoni’ campaign, led by Gaurav Taneja and his wife, has been inspired by the speculation that this could be MS Dhoni's last season in the IPL. 

With the possibility of the former India captain not playing in the IPL after this season, all the fans all around the world are keen to pay tribute to the legendary cricketer in the best way possible. 

The Chennai Super Kings are off to a great start in the ongoing IPL season, with five wins out of seven matches played, and currently occupy the top spot on the points table with 10 points. They have been in fantastic form so far, with their batting and bowling units firing on all cylinders.
