As the second leg of the Indian Premier League(IPL) has kickstarted, the Punjab Kings(PBKS) will lock horns with the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) once again, this time at the Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali, Chandigarh on 28 April at 7:30 pm.

The Kings, who currently sit at No.6 on the points table would look to bag their second win against LSG. The team is running high on the recent heroics of Arshdeep Singh against MI, who delivered a literal stump-breaking performance, after breaking two stumps back to back. Although, they began their campaign with a bang- two consecutive wins, they did stumble mid-way. The absence of Shikhar Dhawan has been a cause of concern, due to the extra edge he provides on the batting end. As was evident, when they lost against RCB when they fell short of 24 runs.

Lucknow Super Giants on the other hand, has although won 4 matches, have not had any stunning performance so far. During their last match against Gujarat Titans, LSG had a clear opportunity to win the game through a straightforward run chase with 61 runs off 68. However, they completely lost control in the final overs of the match. The LSG middle-order performed poorly and succumbed easily to the clever bowling attack of the Gujarat Titans, resulting in a disappointing loss.

In their last encounter, Punjab Kings secured a win against Lucknow Super Giants. They have a strong pace attack and if Shikhar Dhawan makes a return tomorrow, their batting side might also receive that extra zeal. On the other side, Mark Wood has departed back to England for the birth of his daughter, therefore the team has been hit with another setback. KL Rahul has time and again struggled with his form and even the middle order for the LSG hasn’t been consistent so far. The chances of PBKS winning against LSG look higher and much stronger.
