Pat Cummins' leadership has taken Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) to the finals of IPL 2024. They are set to face off against KKR in the final match tonight. 

SRH acquired Pat Cummins for 20.25 crores in the mini auction, facing significant criticism from many who questioned SRH and owner Kavya Maran for investing so heavily in a single player.

However, the signing of Pat Cummins, along with the addition of fellow Australian Travis Head, completely transformed SRH's attitude. 

The combination of Head, Klaasen, and Abhishek Sharma became the backbone of SRH's batting lineup, turning the team into a formidable force under Cummins' leadership. Dominating their opponents, SRH soared to the top 2 positions on the table and eventually secured a spot in the finals.

When SRH bought Pat Cummins for 20.25 crores, Sanjiv Goenka laughed at Kavya Maran for the hefty price. However, Cummins proved to be a clutch performer throughout the IPL season, while Goenka's LSG crashed out of the tournament.

Goenka also had clashes with LSG captain KL Rahul, in contrast to Kavya's SRH, where Cummins has become a fan favorite as captain.

Cummins' SRH to face Shreyas Iyer's KKR

In the IPL showdown tonight, Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad will face off in the final at MA Chidambaram stadium. The two teams previously met in the qualifier, where KKR emerged victorious but heavy dew has been a factor in that game where SRH lost.

 With the match taking place at Chepauk, it is expected to be an evenly contested game, as both KKR and SRH are well-suited to thrive in these conditions. Match begins at 7:30 PM IST tonight.
