KKR vs SRH: Pitch Report By Ian Bishop and Matthew Hayden

Bishop: "17th season of IPL has been phenomenal. We have two teams tonight. Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders have been blasting runs throughout this season. So now we come to the surface for this game. It's a red soil surface. The dimensions are - 63 m to my right and 70 m to my left. 77 m straight down the ground. So, again tactics come into play. I have got Matthew Hayden with me here. Talk to me about this surface. Difference between the color of the soil. Black soil in the previous game to the red soil tonight. What does that mean?"

Hayden: "Red soil surface means it tends to have a lot of bounce. If we go down here, this wicket has been very well-prepared. So, it's a high-scoring match. I said in the last match that it was a 175-game and it could go up to 190. This is the third time that Chepauk will be hosting the final and that too were high-scoring matches. First one was back in 2011 if you could remember. It was above 200 and Chennai won the toss and opted to bat first on both the occasions.

Red soil, you will tend to see a lot of players sitting back and playing into these gaps using the bounce here. And with the spin, unfortunately, there's not going to be much spin. What you will see is significant bounce because red clay do bounce. So, unconventional shots and slog sweeps, you will have to watch out if you are a batsman against spin. I'm sure it will play a part. Cutters definitely will be there. It's a good wicket."

KKR vs SRH: Captain's Quote

Pat Cummins (Sunrisers Hyderabad Captain): "We will bat first. Looks a good surface. Never best in reading the wickets. But played on a different surface last night and this is a new surface. There wasn't dew last night. Hopefully, it stays away. Fingers crossed tonight as well. We are playing a particular style that won't work each day but having a crack tonight.

It's a different wicket tonight. We defended the total successfully in that game. It's a different soil but honestly, you are asking the wrong bloke (laughs).

Shreyas Iyer (Kolkata Knight Riders Captain): "We would have bowled. You have a fair idea of how the wicket will play. We saw the match the other day. It was on black soil and this is completely different. The last game we played was on the red soil. We chased over there so I think we are gonna back that."
