Team India is going strong in the ongoing World Cup 2023. With five wins out of five games, they are sitting at the top of the points table. In the game against Bangladesh, Hardik Pandya hurt his ankle and had to go out of the field. He also missed the important game against New Zealand, but team India managed to win it with Kohli's brilliance and Shami's experience.

Mohammed Shami, who played his first game of the World Cup 2023 against New Zealand picked up a five-wicket haul and helped India win the game. Hardik Pandya being his IPL captain, Shami shares an incident about him on a podcast with Gaurav Kapoor. 

He was asked whether there was a moment where Hardik got angry on the field, to which the fast bowler replied, he got angry with him once.

On a Gujarat Titans podcast with Gaurav Kapoor, he was asked whether there was an incident during the first season where Hardik got angry. To this question, Shami replied that there was one incident where he did not like Hardik's reaction and the management also came to him about it. He also mentioned that he told Hardik that he has a big responsibility but he is not the kind of a person who has any problem with anything and requested him to not react this way at least while on the field. 

He added that Hardik is a bit passionate and expressive like Virat Kohli and was asking him if he needs two slips to which Shami hilariously replied that it wasn't swinging that much let me just bowl to my strengths.
