Arshdeep Singh begin the bang and ended it with double thud as the emerging left-arm seamer pulled off a heist and bagged two crucial points for Punjab Kings against Mumbai Indians at Wankhede. Not only that, Arshdeep broke the middle stump in two halves in the last over, defending 16 runs off the over and winning the game by 13 runs.

The Punjab pacer started off the night by bagging Ishan Kishan's wicket, which also was his 50th in the IPL. He then sent back an on-song Suryakumar Yadav at 57 (off 26 balls), before nailing a three-run final over, where he had two scalps to his name.

Arshdeep, in the last over, had Tim David and Tilak Varma at the crease. He started off the over by nailing a couple of pin-point yorkers before he pinned one at Varma's woods.

However, his moment of glory came on the subsequent delivery, where he stunned MI's Impact Player Nehal Wadhera not just on a golden duck but broke his middle stick in two halves.

Before the 23-year-old seamer brought Punjab into the hunt, Cameron Green and Suryakumar Yadav almost took Mumbai home at Wankhede in a chase of 215 runs. But with MI needing 56 runs off the last 27 balls, Nathan Ellis turned the stadium mute by removing the Aussie all-rounder. After that, Suryakumar lost his breath against Arsh on a low full-toss in the 18 over.

Eventually, the pressure got the better of David and Varma, as Mumbai lost their three-game winning streak to Punjab.

Earlier in the day, Mumbai's bowlers were on the verge of pocketing the game with PBKS crawling at 83-4 at their midway, but stand-in skipper Sam Curran, Harpreet Bhatia and Jitesh Sharma thwacked the home bowlers all across the park, ending the innings at 214 runs and hitting 96 runs off the last five overs
