Years after his international retirement, former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni remains a fan favorite, with crowds flocking around the wicketkeeper-batter for a single glimpse.

Dhoni, 42, during his early cricketing years, sported the long-haired style, which captivated not only former Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf but also attracted a large amount of female following.

Despite Dhoni's marriage to Sakshi Singh Rawat in 2010, the adulation from female fans has not gone down.

Now, a clip of Dhoni getting hugged by a female fan is going viral on the social media platform 'X', where the current Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain could be seen sporting long locks.

In the viral video, a girl named Haseena Nasreen could be seen hugging the former Indian captain outside the Eden Gardens stadium in Kolkata after breaking away from the security cordon.

The Behrampore-based fan wanted to give Dhoni a birthday card in advance as well.

Dhoni played for India between 2004 and 2019, where the wicketkeeper-batter featured in 90 Tests, 350 ODIs, and 98 T20Is, amassing 17,266 runs with 16 centuries and 108 fifties combined across formats.
