Delhi Capitals Star Chetan Sakariya Gets Engaged To Meghna Jambucha

Indian cricketer Chetan Sakariya has announced his engagement with his fiancée, mere days after being released by the Delhi Capitals franchise. The left-arm speedster shared a picture from the ceremony with his fans on social media.

Chetan Sakariya took to his Instagram account on December 5 to confirm his engagement with his fiancée, Meghna Jambucha. The 25-year-old cricketer shared a picture from the ceremony, and added a heartfelt caption to express his aspirations of a new life with his partner. 

He wrote: “Taking the next step together and we've decided on forever💍.”


Chetan Sakariya played two T20Is and an ODI for Team India, all during India’s tour of Sri Lanka back in July 2021. The cricketer was selected for the squad following his stellar show with the ball for the Rajasthan Royals franchise in the preceding IPL 2021 season.

Sakariya was later roped in by the Delhi Capitals camp the following year, where he failed to replicate the same impact he had for the Royals. Following his two-year association, the youngster was released by the franchise on IPL 2024 retention day in late November 2023.

The left-arm fast bowler has already registered his name for the forthcoming IPL 2024 auctions, set to be organized in UAE later this month.

So far, Chetan Sakariya has played 46 T20 matches across various domestic competitions, including IPL and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy fixtures, to bag an impressive haul of 65 wickets at an average of 20.16.
