[Watch] 'Used To Cry..,' - When Karthik Pulled Rohit Sharma's Leg

Dinesh Karthik's great friendship and understanding with Indian skipper Rohit Sharma resulted in a hilarious conversation at the sidelines of the 2021 tour of England. 

While Rohit was in England for his Test match duties as an Indian opener, Karthik, the out-of-favour wicketkeeper-batter, was doing broadcasting duties with Sky Sports. 


Asked to do an interview with his friend after the first Test at Lord's, Karthik decided to take the conversation to Rohit's entertainment choices and how much they transformed once he tied the knot with his wife Ritika. 

The Sky Sports hosts revealed Rohit used to cry watching emotional Indian movies during his growing up days but has now started watching popular overseas shows in his room.

Karthik had shared a clip from his interview with Rohit where he captioned an apology in advance for revealing the secrets of his friend, whom he dearly calls 'Sham'. 

The wicketkeeper-batter said the Indian cricketer used to cry watching movies like 'Sooryavansham' but has started watching popular shows such as 'Game Of Thrones' and 'How I Met Your Mother?' now. 

"Before marrying Ritika, Rohit Sharma was somebody who would cry looking at movies like Sooryavansham. After marriage, you now watch Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, How I Met Your Mother. Tell me a little about this," Karthik said as Rohit burst out laughing. 


Rohit initially rejected the accusation but then accepted as Karthik is one of his earliest friends in the Indian team. "Who told you that? Yes, it has changed," Rohit. 

The friendship started during the 2007 tour of Ireland where Rohit made his India debut, batting with Karthik's bat as he revealed during a 2017 conversation with Gaurav Kapoor on his famous YouTube show 'Breakfast With Champions'.
