Australia's Travis Head's madness is well known all around the world. And his presence was greatly felt last year when he arrived in India for Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 and his team Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) gave him a rousing welcome as the southpaw was all set to represent the Orange army for the first time.

The Grand Welcome Before The Batting Carnage

The Sunrisers posted a video on their social media handles, warmly welcoming the Australian superstar ahead of the 17th edition of the IPL. In what was a terrific work by SRH’s social media team, the video perfectly built the excitement of what was going to be a blockbuster of a season for the South Australia cricketer.

The dynamic left-hander was acquired by the 2016 champions for INR 6.8 crore in the IPL 2024 mini auction. He had an impactful first season as he went to be the heart of SRH’s record-breaking batting performances last year. He formed a lethal opening pair with Abhishek Sharma and the duo played a pivotal role in setting the tone for several high team totals of SRH throughout the season.

As a result, SRH went on to play the final and even though they lost to clinch the title, it will be always be a season known for SRH and their batting madness. SRH retain Head at INR 14 crore ahead of the IPL 2025 due to his fearless and aggressive batting approach at the top. Fans are now eager to see if he can replicate the same or even get better to what he was last year.

The Travis Head Show Set To Continue In IPL 2025

With less than 10 days remaining for their first match in IPL 2025, SRH is quickly shifting gears in their preparation to what can be their season of glory. They will be kicking off their campaign at home against Rajasthan Royals on Sunday afternoon, March 23. As the Men In Orange look to get their hands on their second IPL title, Head will play a crucial role alongside Abhishek Sharma and Heinrich Klaasen, forming a formidable batting lineup.
