Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has announced a special partnership with the Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) (Chennai) ahead of the forthcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The two parties have come together to provide free bus tickets to CSK fans travelling to watch their team at their home ground, Chepauk.
Free Bus Rides For The Fans
The 18th edition of the IPL is just around the corner and CSK will be playing their first game against Mumbai Indians in Chennai. And just like last year CSK has come hand in hand with MTC to provide free bus tickets (non AC) to fans travelling with match passes for CSK’s home game at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chepauk.
The time period of this offer will start 3 hours before the match time as the match passes will also act as a travel ticket to CSK’s den. Fans from around the city will now be able to travel to the stadium more conveniently to see their heroes in action.
This is not the first time the yellow franchise have shown this kind of commitment to their fans which is truly second to none on and off the field. They continue to punch above the waist in order to enhance the matchday experience for their followers. This initiative of giving free travel to the fans will not only give a hassle-free travelling experience to CSK’s home venue but will also encourage the fans to use public transport in the city.
CSK Eyes Historic 6th Title
The Men In Yellow are one of the most successful teams in the competition for a reason and the passionate fans definitely play a part in it. Ruturaj Gaikwad and co. will be aiming to start their campaign in style and march on to get their hands on what will be the record 6th IPL title in history.
Their first game is scheduled to take place on Sunday evening, March 23 against the Mumbai Indians at home. Often dubbed as the EL Clasico of the IPL, the high-octane clash at such an early stage of the tournament will set the tone for what promises to be a thrilling season of T20 cricket.
