Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant can finally walk without any external support.

Rishabh Pant is likely to miss international cricket for the entirety of 2023

For the uninitiated, Pant suffered a near-fatal accident during the winter of 2022, while he was driving to his own hometown Roorkee to surprise his mother ahead of New Year 2023.

Pant suffered multiple internal and external injuries, and was subsequently airlifted to the Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai.

The Delhi cricketer was subsequently ruled out of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy and the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League, where he has made frequent appearances in a bid to support the Delhi Capitals.

While he is back on his feet, it will still take a few months before Pant returns to the cricket field. The southpaw is set to miss the WTC final against Australia and the 2023 50-over World Cup, which is set to take place in India in October-November.
