Virat Kohli mentioned that he first got the number 18 jersey when he played for India U19 and added that he did not ask for any specific number. However, he stated that it ended up becoming a very important number in his life as his father died on 18th of December 2006 while he also made his debut on 18th of August and he feels that there is some cosmic connection to the 18 number, as he got that jersey even before these events happened in his life.
Virat Kohli also mentioned that he feels grateful that so many fans wear his jersey number and name and added that it is a surreal feeling to get so much love from everyone and he feels blessed.
