Indian team celebrates Renuka Thakur's massive bid

It was a day of jubilation for female cricketers around the world as five franchises shelled out an unbelievable amount of money. Women's cricket has never seen this money being splurged which would change the fortune of many players' forever.

One story could be of premier pacer Renuka Singh Thakur, who was sold for a massive amount of ₹1.50 Cr by Royal Challengers Bangalore after her base price was announced at ₹ 50 Lakhs.

Apart from RCB, Delhi Capitals showed great interest in the Indian pacer but couldn't grab her services.

Later, she was seen in a video along with Indian women players celebrating her bid. Not just this, another video was revealed from her hometown in Himachal where her family members were distributing sweets.

“I’m so happy that RCB picked me up. We all were watching the auctions together and it was fun. The main thing is getting selected for Smriti’s team. Playing alongside Smriti is a different kind of fun altogether. We’ll try to win as many games as possible. Please keep supporting the team.”

Thakur has been exceptional for the Indian side, as she has played 28 matches for her 24 wickets while bowling at an economy of 6.45.
