Young and dashing Australian prodigy Grace Harris gets a deal of INR 75 Lakhs from Capri Global-owned UP Warriorz to play in the first edition of the Women's Premier League (WPL).

After being debuted for Australia in 2016, Harris became a regular in the Australian outfit after her enthralling season in the Women's Big Bash League (WBBL) for Brisbane Heat.

In WBBL 2021, Harris scored 269 runs at impressive numbers, which helped to make a comeback to the national side after six years.

She also won the gold medal in the Birmingham Commonwealth Games 2022 with the mighty Aussie side.

Playing the Australian T20 domestic league, the top-order has become a brilliant player in the shortest format of the game.

Her domestic stats may not be pleasing, but after 28 T20Is, the 28-year-old has amassed 313 runs at a strike rate of 174.86 and an average of 24.07, with a best of 64 not out.

Currently, Harris is part of the Meg Lanning-led unit playing in the 2023 edition of the Women's T20 World Cup.

Apart from the Australian batter, the UP team have acquired the services of Alyssa Healy, Sophie Ecclestone, Deepti Sharma, Rajeshwari Gayakwad and the U19 World Cup winners - Shweta Sehrawat and Parshavi Chopra.
