In what will be a mouth-watering affair, defending Indian Premier League (IPL) champions Gujarat Titans will meet four-time winners Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Qualifier 1 this evening at Chepauk. Titans' skipper Hardik Pandya will look to carry this winning momentum and reach his second-consecutive final, while Kings' captain MS Dhoni will want to take his franchise to yet another IPL final.

Ahead of the encounter, former India opener Virender Sehwag has named Afghanistan's spinner Rashid Khan as GT's trump card. Rashid has been brilliant with the ball, claiming 24 wickets, and also contributing with the bat, having scored 95 runs down the order.

As quoted by India Today, Sehwag also lauded Pandya's utilisation of Khan, who has been a major factor in their success. GT finished as IPL 2023 table-toppers with 10 wins and four losses, and were the first to qualify into the playoffs.

Here's what Sehwag said

"Rashid Khan is the trump card for Gujarat. If they want wickets, they bring him. And then the way Hardik has used Rashid, it is commendable. Rashid likes to break partnerships and now he has become the most successful bowler of this season on the basis of his excellent performance."

Rashid (24) in alliance with fellow countryman Noor Ahmad (13) have tormented opposition batters, claiming 37 wickets between them.
