India are locking horns against Bangladesh in the first Test match of the two-match series at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. This Test series marks India's return to red-ball cricket after a break of 6 months.

This much-awaited series is also important for the ICC World Test Championship as India are currently at the top and will want to continue their dominance. On the other hand, Bangladesh has attained the fourth spot after their fresh victory against Pakistan.

Another significant factor about this series is that India have started their journey in the longest format under the new head coach, Gautam Gambhir. He took over from Rahul Dravid after he decided to end his tenure with the team after the historic T20 World Cup Victory.

Rahul Dravid's Best Wishes To Gautam Gambhir

After Gautam Gambhir's appointment as the head coach, Rahul Dravid passed on his good wishes to him and shared a motivational message.

Dravid stated that Gambhir has a lot of experience not just as a player but also as a coach. He also added that he has full faith in his abilities that under his guidance and leadership India will perform well in the upcoming years.

"He (Gambhir) has got a lot of experience, as a player also he has played a lot, he obviously coached quite a bit. I am sure he will be great. In any situation everyone brings his own experience and knowledge to the table. I am sure the team will benefit from everything that Gautam brings to them with his team," Dravid added.

He further stated that Gambhir's passion and love for the game will bring new changes and dimensions to Indian cricket.

"I know how dedicated and passionate you are about Indian cricket, and I'm sure you will bring all these qualities to this new job." he said.

It is worth mentioning that, the former India opener started his tenure with the Sri Lanka tour, where India whitewashed (3-0) the hosts in the T20Is, but they were beaten 1-2 in the ODI series.
