Indian opener KL Rahul scored an important half-century against Bangladesh in the T20 World Cup 2022 on Wednesday afternoon.

Rahul has been under immense pressure following a series of poor performances in recent months. The 50-run knock against Bangladesh will give him a huge morale-boost and it remains to be seen whether he can build on his vital knock from yesterday and get back to his best for the remainder of the tournament.

Prior to the game, Rahul was seen engrossed in a serious discussion with Virat Kohli in the nets. When asked about the topic of discussion during the post-match presser, the Indian opener revealed that he was trying to learn about the Australian conditions from Kohli has had considerable success in Adelaide.

He also spoke to the Indian maverick regarding his mentality and how he deals with adversity.

As quoted by Hindustan Times, Rahul said:

"We were actually just discussing how Australian conditions have been a little different this time. We have come here before and played Test cricket and we expected the wickets to play in a certain way and that's not happened so far and it's been more challenging than our previous tour. We were just talking about that thing.

"We were discussing the mindset and what we can do in the middle. I was seeing if I can use something that he says in the middle, and if we can help each other. Those are the discussions that we all have as players. Obviously, he has been doing really well in the last few games and I was trying to understand his mindset and what he is thinking while he is in the middle. Just about that."

Whatever advice Rahul received seems to have done the trick. He looked in excellent flow against the Tigers and the half-century will give him the belief to go on and repeat the feat in the upcoming games as well.

Apart from his contribution with the bat, Rahul produced a remarkable run out to get rid of Litton Das who was taking the game away from the Men in Blue.
