The highly-anticipated Bangladesh Tour of Pakistan is all set to kick-off with the first Test between Pakistan and Bangladesh scheduled to take place at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi on 21 August, Wednesday.

Led by captain Shan Masood, Pakistan lost their last Test series against Australia in Australia 0-3 and would be looking forward to make a strong comeback. As revealed in their playing XI they have opted for an all-pace attack, which features the likes of Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah, Khurram Shahzad, and Mohammad Ali.

On the other hand, Bangladesh, led by Najmul Hossain Shanto have relied on experience of  players like Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, and Mominul Haque, all of whom have been named in the squad. 

While Pakistan is currently placed in seventh place whereas Bangladesh are in eighth place on the WTC points table.

Day 1 of the Test series at Rawalpindi will likely experience precipitation and thunderstorms. While it is expected to be partly sunny, a strong morning thunderstorm will likely hit the city. 

As per Accuweather, the temperature is likely to be between 31 C and 36 C, with around a 40% chance of precipitation and a 38% probability of thunderstorms. There is also a thick cloud cover of 44% will hover over the stadium.

However, a significant concern that could potentially disrupt the entire first Test is the forecast of rain for all five days of the game. This is a severe issue that could hamper the game-time.
