Coming off an outstanding victory, Australia would feel extremely lucky that they got past the finish line, thanks to a commendable effort from Marcus Stoinis, who pulled it back for them. During the toss, skipper Aaron Finch announced one change by bringing in Ashton Agar in place of Adam Zampa, who contracted Covid-19 before the game.

With new Covid restrictions in place that allow the players to be a part of the match, the things to be taken care of are that they are well enough to take the field and kept isolated from the rest of the squad.

While Zampa was kept out as a precautionary measure, it is highly likely that he would be brought back in, feels Ashton Agar who bowled a brilliant spell of 1/25. He also mentioned that with all of this happening, he has become used to getting dropped from the side quite often and will be totally okay with that if it happens.

“I assume Zamps will pull up well, he was starting to feel better already, so I'm sure he'll play against England, and I'll just have to see what happens with me,

“I've sort of become used to that, I'm pretty good at dealing with that now,

“As much as I'd love to play every game, everyone wants to play every game, and we've got a really good squad, so I'll just keep moving forwards. I'll be fine."

Australia's subsequent encounter will be against their rivals England on 28th October at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
