Australia and Sri Lanka took the field against each other on the 4th day of the Super 12 stage of ICC T20I World Cup 2022. It was a do or die for the defending champions and they played like one.
Australia won the toss and decided to field first in the match. Sri Lanka set a target of 158 runs for Australia.
The 'Men in Yellow' were in a spot of bother at 89 for 3 in 12.2 overs when Marcus Stoinis came out to bat. But he was not at all overawed by the situation and played a counter attacking brand of cricket.
During his match winning knock of 59 off 18 deliveries he tumbled a couple of records.
