The much-awaited Women's Premier League commenced on Saturday, with Mumbai Indians steamrolling Gujarat Giants by 143 runs in the tournament opener.

With the tournament getting an ideal start, the cricket-crazy Indian audiences are eagerly waiting for its second fixture, where a star-studded Royal Challengers Bangalore will take on Delhi Capitals on Sunday.

Meanwhile, ahead of the fascinating clash, RCB captain Smriti Mandhana has won a million hearts through an epic response to her constant comparison with legendary Indian batter Virat Kohli.

Notably, Virat Kohli and Smriti Mandhana share a lot of common attributes, being the most elegant Indian batters in the Men's and Women's team, respectively.

Furthermore, both have the same jersey number, 18, while being the face of their franchises in IPL and WPL.

In such a scenario, people constantly draw an analogy between the two, considering Mandhana as Kohli's equivalent in Women's Cricket.

However, the stylish southpaw expressed her displeasure over such a theory, admitting to not having reached Kohli's level yet.

Speaking to the reporters, she expected herself to emulate what Kohli has achieved while playing for RCB over the years.

Here's what Mandhana stated

"I don't like the kind of comparison because what he (Kohli) has achieved is amazing. I just hope that I reach that level, but I'm nowhere near. What he has achieved for this franchise (RCB), I would like to try and do that."

The 26-year-old batter will lead RCB, comprising several T20 superstars- Ellyse Perry, Sophie Devine, Heather Knight, Richa Ghosh, Megan Schutt and Renuka Singh Thakur.

After facing DC today, the Women in Red will take on Mumbai Indians in their second game on Monday.
