On Saturday, the much-anticipated Women's Premier League began in a grand style, with Mumbai Indians decimating Gujarat Giants by 143 runs in the tournament opener in Mumbai.
Riding on Harmanpreet Kaur's belligerent knock, Mumbai posted a gigantic 207 on the board and later defended it successfully, courtesy of a superb collective bowling performance.
However, the excitement will reach zenith on Super Sunday, as fans' favourite Royal Challengers Bangalore will kickstart their WPL campaign, taking on Delhi Capitals in the second fixture of the tournament.
Ahead of the high-octane clash, former Indian cricketer Parthiv Patel opined that RCB would like their ace batter Smriti Mandhana to set the stage on fire just like Harmanpreet Kaur did for MI last night.
Speaking to Jio Cinema, the stylish southpaw also expected the Bangalore-based franchise to justify their tagline 'play bold' in the showpiece event.
"Where you have Smriti Mandhana - opening batter, left-hander - you will have to support RCB. There is no other choice. They will want Smriti Mandhana to start the same way as Harmanpreet Kaur,
"When we talk about big-ticket players, franchise cricket is different from international cricket, but the RCB fans will want their legacy to be maintained. Their play-bold approach and flair will not change, you will hundred percent get to see that from RCB."
After facing DC Women, Smriti Mandhana's RCB will lock horns against Mumbai Indians this Monday.
