Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) named a 16-member squad for the upcoming Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2022, under the leadership of Nitish Rana. Delhi selectors have recalled India's fifth highest Test wicket-taker (311), Ishant Sharma, back into the setup, who is hoping for one final hurray.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) middle-order batter Rana under his wings will have an array of Indian Premier League stars like Hrithik Shokeen (Mumbai Indians), Simarjeet Singh (Chennai Super Kings), and Ayush Badoni (Lucknow Super Giants).

They also boast experienced players like Himmat Singh, Anuj Rawat, Navdeep Saini, and Pradeep Sangwan.

All eyes will also be on India's Under-19 World Cup winning captain Yash Dhull, who has been on a run-making spree since playing in XI.

They will be coached by Abhay Sharma and begin their campaign on October 11 at Jaipur.

Delhi are placed in Elite Group B alongside Manipur, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Puducherry, Hyderabad, Goa, and Tripura.

Here's what DDCA joint secretary Rajan Manchanda said

"The president and secretary has full faith in our senior players and Nitish is one of them. We are confident that the team will do well under his leadership,"
