Eight years ago, a young cricket prodigy named Saim Ayub stepped into the limelight for the very first time, ready to make his mark. He was part of the Under-15 team, celebrating a thrilling victory in a dynamic tournament hosted by India that brought together the best from ten Indian states, Bahrain, and a spirited Pakistan team.

The Pakistani sensation revealed his true potential during his early years training under coach Mohammad Masroor. At just 14 years old, Saim Ayub achieved impressive scores in his debut tournament, leaving the audience in awe, much like his performances in international matches today.

A Promising Start To The Meteoric Rise Of Ayub

During a lively interview after the tournament, Saim shared his thoughts that radiated throughout the camp. With a sparkle in his eye, he spoke about his dreams and achievements. Ayub scored 250 runs in that tournament in five matches, including a stunning 80 that captivated fans and critics alike.

Ayub's outstanding performance in the local tournament earned him two Player of the Match awards, along with the cherished title of Best Batter of the Tournament. Standing beside him was Khwaja Muhammad Nafay, who has since taken his talents to the Quetta Gladiators in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

This tournament was more than just a competition. It was a launchpad that showcased the raw energy and immense potential of these rising stars. Javeria Saud, with her keen eye for talent, was awestruck. Actor Aijaz Aslam made a bold prediction that echoed in the hearts of fans: "Many of these boys will don the green jersey and represent Pakistan in the future!"

From Local Stardom to International Recognition, A Star In Making

Cut to the present, Saim Ayub’s journey has now come full circle as he proudly dons the national colours, proving Aijaz's prophecy right. The 22-year-old Ayub is now making his nation proud with his consistent performances in the South Africa series where he recorded two tons.

Known for his explosive and aggressive approach, Ayub recently surpassed Indian star Rohit Sharma in the elite list of scoring the most International runs. For the unversed, Ayub boasts 498 runs in T20Is and 323 runs in Test matches.

With him stepping recently on the ODI game the young-gun has already racked up 3 centuries to his name in the 9 matches that he played amassing 515 runs at a strike rate of 105.53. With a majority of his career still ahead of him, Ayub hopes to add even more golden moments to his cricket journey, this, only being a start.
