The talks between Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals about the trade for Sanju Samsan and Ravindra Jadeja continue to intensify with every moment. 

With Jadeja deactivating his Instagram account and CSK's latest post that said, "Trade rumours are subject to mental health risks. Wait till the official announcement for sanity," the 'Whistle podu' army is trying to connect dots to find answer to whether Ravindra Jadeja is leaving CSK in 2026.

Fans leave no chance to speculate the possible IPL 2026 player trades. Amid the wait for final trade news, let's recall the moment when Jadeja's last-ball heroics sealed fifth title for CSK in rollercoaster final in 2023. 

The final roar for CSK thanks to Ravindra Jadeja

A final that lasted two days saw a thrilling game between MS Dhoni's Chennai Super Kings and Hardik Pandya's Gujarat Titans. CSK defeated GT to secure their fifth IPL title, courtesy Ravindra Jadeja's heroics. 

Marred by rain, the final was played over two days, as on May 28 not a single ball was bowled, and then it was moved to May 29. Chennai won the toss and opted to field first as Gujarat scored 214/4. Then Chennai achieved the DLS method target of 171 in 15 overs. 

The target was reduced to 13 off one over, with Mohit Sharma making it ever tougher. CSK needing 10 off 2 balls looked out of the game. 

That's when Jadeja pierced the silence by hitting the final two balls of an incredible, chaotic, unbelievable chase for boundaries. One straight in front of him. The other behind. Despite constant rain interruptions, Chennai Super Kings finally laid their hands on the trophy in Ahmedabad, all thanks to Shivam Dube and Jadeja. 

Jadeja redeemed his 'Thalapathy' title after failure in 2022

Braving through difficult journeys, 'Thalapathy' Ravindra Jadeja helped CSK's Thala, MS Dhoni to the podium to collect his 5th trophy. Which forced Dhoni break his character of always looking stoic and impassive to lifting the final's hero in his arms. 

This celebration was even more important for Jadeja, who had to resign from Super Kings' captaincy in 2022 mid-way. Under his leadership CSK only managed 2 wins out of 8 games, until Dhoni took over the role. 

Nonetheless, the very next season Chennai roared courtesy Jadeja's two-ball thunder, claiming his beloved title back.
