Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has denied No-Objection Certificate (NOC) to pacer Mohammad Hasnain to feature in the ongoing Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2022.

Hasnain was signed by Galle Gladiators, the team owned by Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Quetta Gladiators, for this season.

The franchise spokesperson confirmed that Hasnain would not be available for the entire season as the PCB wants to groom him for future assignments and, thus, denied him NOC for the ongoing LPL.

Pakistan's left-arm pacer Wahab Riaz has replaced the young pacer in the Gladiators' squad who played against Jaffna Kings in the tournament's opener, claiming two wickets while conceding just 23 runs in his four overs quota.

Besides Wahab Riaz, Iftikhar Ahmed, Imad Wasim, Asad Shafiq, and Anwar Ali will represent the Gladiators in the ongoing tournament. On the other hand, veteran all-rounder Shoaib Malik will play for the Jaffna Kings.

Meanwhile, Haider Ali and Ahmed Daniyal will represent Dambulla Giants in the Lanka Premier League 2022. The tournament final is scheduled to be played in Colombo on December 23.
