After the major signing of English Test skipper Ben Stokes in the Indian Premier League, Chennai Super Kings would have been the happiest of them all. The all-rounder previously played a pivotal role for Rising Pune Supergiants in 2017 IPL leading to the finals.

Now, with him coming on board for the four-time champions, there is a positive vibe among the yellow army including captain MS Dhoni. After the auction, CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan revealed that Dhoni was the happiest when they bagged the services of the all-rounder.

Further, he mentioned that they were looking for an all-rounder and as Stokes' name came up late, they went for him.

"Very excited to get Stokes and we were lucky also because he came up at the end. We wanted an all-rounder and MS was very happy that we got Stokes. CSK looks bright and I hope we do well this season. We follow the process always and that will help us do well,"

Meanwhile, he answered a question on CSK's captaincy debate when Dhoni hangs up his boots.

"Captaincy option is there but it is a call MS will take with time. Kyle Jamieson was injured so maybe many others did not look at him. We had information from Fleming that he had recovered and was raring to go."

CSK have accumulated a solid squad with the signing of Ben Stokes and Kyle Jamieson along Indian veteran Ajinkya Rahane, who all will be raring to go in yellow.
