Litton, Taskin help Bangladesh set up respectable target

Starting the Day 3 on 7/0, Bangladesh quickly lost Najmul Shanto (5), Mominul Haque (5) and Shakib Al Hasan (13) and Mushfiqur Rahim (9) early. Afterwards, Zakir Hasan was dismissed for a well-compiled 51 off 135.

The in-form Litton Das played a sensible knock to steer the team in a confident manner, while getting a support from Nurul Hasan (31). It was Mohammed Siraj, who put an end to Litton's knock with a peach of a delivery which swung back in to take out the top of off-stump.

Then, the late fireworks of Taskin Ahmed (31) helped Bangladesh to finish on 231, and set a target of 145 for the visitors. Axar was the pick of the bowlers with three wickets.

Bangladesh spinners work in tandem to create magic

In a pitch assisting spinners, skipper Shakib immediately put pressure on openers Shubman Gill and KL Rahul by delivering the first over. In the third over, Shakib induced an edge of Rahul (2).

The talented offie Mehidy Hasan got past the resistance of Cheteshwar Pujara (6) Shubman Gill (7).  The Bangladesh spinners were confident with their abilities to keep putting pressure on the Indian batting line-up.

Virat Kohli's wicket off Mehidy at the end of the day resulted in the match swinging in favour of the home side. India are at 45/4 and still needs 100 runs, with Axar Patel (26*) and Jaydev Unadkat (3*) at the crease.
