The second Test of the forthcoming series between Pakistan and New Zealand has been moved to Karachi from previously scheduled Multan due to foggy conditions that could hamper the match.

PCB while releasing their statement mentioned that the weather in Multan had "already disrupted flight operations and may also potentially result in the loss of playing hours".

The news was confirmed by both boards as they were already in talks before it was made official. Further, the date of the match has also been pulled from 3rd to 2nd January.

The problem is also with the air quality that has worsened since the last month when England were involved in a Test here. It was reported to be poorer than that of Rawalpindi, where the first Test of the same series was played.

The weather is expected to be cloudy over the weeks which might bring in fog resulting in delayed starts to the game.

The change in itinerary means the entirety of series will now be played at only one stadium in Karachi.

The two-match Test series will be part of the second World Test Championship that will conclude in June next year.

New Schedule for PAK vs NZ series

December 26 to 30: 1st Test
January 2 to 6: 2nd Test
January 9: 1st ODI
January 11: 2nd ODI
January 13: 3rd ODI
