The four top teams will now lock horns in the semi-finals of India's premier domestic T20 tournament, Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2022 on Thursday (November 3). Here is the preview of the teams in the hunt for the final spot. 


Semi-Final 1: Punjab vs Himachal Pradesh

Punjab will be up against the challenge of Himachal Pradesh in the first semi-final of the tournament. 

With six wins in seven games, Punjab topped the Elite Group B points table. Then, they got past Karnatka in the quarter-finals, wherein they posted 225 and won by nine runs. The key players for them will be Shubman Gill and Siddarth Kaul. 

Himachal Pradesh marked their presence at the top in the Elite Group D with four victories in six games. In the quarter-finals, they chased down the target of 200 against Bengal. The best performers for them have been Rishi Dhawan and Akash Vashist.
