Recently, young South Africa batter Dewald Brevis grabbed a million eyeballs, playing a gruesome knock of 162 runs in the CSA T20 challenge. Brevis' heroic inning, glittered with 13 fours and as many sixes, propelled the Titans to a mammoth 271, which they defended successfully to record a 41-run win over the Knights.

Veteran South Africa cricketer David Miller has heaped praise on the promising batter for his heroics with the bat. Terming Brevis' effort a special one, the swashbuckling southpaw expected the youngster to storm his way through to the national setup soon.

He also hailed the 19-year-old for his incredible skillset and seemed excited to see him evolve as a cricketer.

Here's what Miller stated

"To do that in any format or any level of cricket is something special. He has definitely shown what he is capable of, he is a huge talent and we all know that. He is still very young. Putting in performances like that back at home is what is needed,

"I don’t think it is going to be long before we see him playing for SA, but there is still a lot to do. I am, however, very excited to see what he is capable of in years to come."

Notably, Brevis has been impressive with the bat for quite a while now. He also represented the Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2022 with modest success, scoring 161 runs at a strike rate of 142.48.
