AB de Villiers is back in India, with the cricketer himself announcing his return on Thursday, November 3. The former South African captain is currently in Bengaluru and he has stated his arrival is part of his re-joining with the RCB franchise.

AB de Villiers announced his exit from RCB after the conclusion of IPL 2021 in UAE. The cricketer spent 11 seasons at the franchise, having made his debut there in 2011.

Earlier this year, the legendary batter expressed his desire of returning to RCB in some capacity. With the auction for IPL 2023 slated to be organised in December, the cricketer has now said that he is here to discuss his RCB future with the team management.

AB de Villiers is widely regarded as one of the greatest batters to have graced the game. The Proteas’ batting icon is also an IPL legend for his successful stint with the RCB.

The right-hander minted 4,491 runs across 11 seasons for the franchise, with two tons and 37 centuries to his name. Overall, the dynamic batter has 5,162 runs across all IPL seasons. He previously spent three seasons at the Delhi Capitals (then Delhi Daredevils) camp in the tournament.
