Shivam Dube has always enjoyed playing against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and he showed it once again with a brute hitting at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. The CSK batter smashes his fourth IPL fifty, and one of his most memorable ones.
He came into bat when CSK had just lost Ajinkya Rahane and had all the momentum with them. Dube ensured the momentum stayed with them as he hammered RCB bowlers to all around the park.
On a belter of a wicket, Dube played one of his best IPL innings and gave ample support to the already settled Devon Conway. Seemed like Dube had the license to go for the big shots as he used the conditions to his advantage and smacked 5 humongous sixes, out of which two were well over the 100m mark.
Faf du Plessis tried all permutations and combinations, but nothing worked against Dube. The RCB bowlers applied the short-ball ploy against the southpaw, but he dealt with them perfectly.
Dube reached his fifty in 25 deliveries, but was eventually dismissed just after breaching the nark.
At the time of writing, CSK are 200 for 5 in 18 overs.
