On Sunday, Virat Kohli slammed his 75th international ton in the ongoing fourth and final Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023 against Australia. Kohli's hundred has again ignited a debate about whether the batter can surpass Sachin Tendulkar's 100 international centuries.

The jury is rather divided, and several think Kohli is past his prime, while others bet on the former India skipper to go well-past Tendulkar's mark. However, former Indian player Harbhajan Singh said that Kohli could score more than 100 centuries with age and fitness on his side.

Out of Kohli's 75 international tons, 28 have come in Tests, 46 in ODIs, and 1 in T20I. Interestingly, in the last seven months, the 34-year-old has scored five centuries for India - three ODI, one Test and one T20I.

Speaking to Sports Tak, the veteran spinner added that Kohli's batting abilities are god-gifted and will not fade away soon.

Here's what Singh said

"It's certainly possible. I think he can score more than that (100 centuries). Two things favour Virat here; his age and his fitness. He's 34, but his fitness is that of a 24-year-old cricketer. He's way ahead in that aspect. He has already scored 75 centuries; he can score at least 50 more. He knows his game, and he plays all formats."

Kohli's 186 and contributions from Axar Patel and KS Bharat helped India take a crucial 91 lead heading into the final day of the BGT 2023.

Australia will most likely be without Usman Khawaja's services in their second innings.
