He first brought Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli together by holding their hands and congratulating them for playing well throughout the tournament. He also added that wins and losses are part of the game and told them to cheer up as the whole country is proud of them.

Narendra Modi also shook hands with every other Indian player and the head coach Rahul Dravid and encouraged everyone to be together. He also told players to support each other in difficult times and with all players quite emotional, Modi's effort to cheer up everyone was highly applauded from all corners.
