Cricket in India is like a religion, and the success and failures of the cricket team affect the whole nation. The T20 World Cup 2024 triumph brought a wave of joy around the whole nation while the 2023 World Cup final loss was a tough pill to swallow, not only for the players but also for all Indian cricket fans around the world.

The World Cup 2023 was in India and the final was a huge event for all Indians. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi too was also present for the match. Now, on the Prime Minister's birthday, let's revisit how he consoled the Indian cricket team after the heartbreaking loss against Australia in Ahmedabad.

In the video that went viral after the final, the Indian Prime Minister was seen talking to all Indian players in the dressing room. He first brought Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli together by holding their hands and congratulating them for playing well throughout the tournament. He also added that wins and losses are part of the game and told them to cheer up as the whole country is proud of them.

Narendra Modi also shook hands with every other Indian player and the head coach Rahul Dravid and encouraged everyone to be together. He also told players to support each other in difficult times and with all players quite emotional, Modi's effort to cheer up everyone was highly applauded from all corners.
