In the 68th match of the Indian Premier League where Kolkata Knight Riders will square off with Lucknow Super Giants at the Eden Gardens Stadium, Kolkata, on 20th May Saturday at 7:30 PM IST. It is going to be the last home game match for KKR in this league, and they would like to finish off with a win.

While talking about the criticisms surrounding the pitch conditions at home, KKR's head coach Chandrakant Pandit has taken accountability for the team's inability to capitalise on their home advantage in the current IPL season.

Pandit specifically addressed Nitish Rana's earlier remarks and clarified the team's perspective, emphasizing that there may have been a misunderstanding.

"I think you people have misunderstood it. Home advantage means when we play at home, we would like to win," Pandit said.

The head coach dismissed the notion of blaming the pitches as the sole reason for the team's lack of success.

"Its not a question of pitches or anything else. I’m talking about winning the game and it’s unfortunate that in spite of having home advantage, we have not been to win many games that we played here," he added.

During the discussion, the veteran coach also touched upon the performance of all-rounder Shardul Thakur, praising Thakur for his contributions whenever he has been given the opportunity to play.

Pandit also maintained confidence in team unity and winning potential, despite KKR's challenging campaign. In his conclusion, Chandrakant Pandit highlighted the positive dynamics within the team and their unwavering determination to secure victory in their upcoming match.
