Former Australian all-rounder, Shane Watson, has opined that the captain of Chennai Super Kings (CSK), MS Dhoni, is in exceptional physical condition and has the potential to continue playing for the next three to four years.

The Indian legend, who is considered one of the greatest cricketers to have graced the sport, is leading CSK in their quest for their fifth IPL title this season. While many speculate that this might be his final season in the IPL, Watson thinks otherwise.

The Australian, who expressed his views to ANI, as reported by NDTV stated that Dhoni is still in top form and excels in both batting and wicket-keeping. He further elaborated that the veteran's exceptional leadership skills match his prowess on the field.

The former CSK opener asserted that the erstwhile Indian cricketer's physical and mental fitness, coupled with his deep understanding of the sport, make him an exceptional leader. He also credited Dhoni's skills as one of the reasons for the success of CSK.

"I heard that this is the last IPL of MS Dhoni but I don't think. MS Dhoni can continue to play for the next three to four years. He is still very fit and batting and wicket-keeping really well. His leadership is something that is as good as his game," said Watson.

It will undoubtedly be intriguing to observe how the legendary stumper's game evolves in the upcoming seasons, particularly in light of Watson's claim that the former Indian captain could continue playing at the highest level for a few more years.

The legendary captain's contribution to Indian cricket, as well as his impact on the IPL and the CSK team, is undeniable. The succession plan for the CSK captaincy will also be of great interest to cricket fans as Dhoni's eventual retirement approaches.
