Reports of a supposed rift between two members of India's victorious 2011 World Cup team, former captain MS Dhoni and veteran bowler Harbhajan Singh, have been circulating in the media for some time now.

While the duo have shared numerous victories and laurels throughout their illustrious careers and have also shared a dressing room at Chennai Super Kings, they have both remained tight-lipped on the subject, leaving the matter to be solely based on hearsay.

Nonetheless, Harbhajan recently decided to divulge details on the speculated feud with Dhoni. Harbhajan Singh, who retired from the game in December 2021, had hinted at the rift in a statement, in which he questioned the reason for his abrupt omission from the team despite having taken over 400 wickets.

A month later, in January 2022, with rumors of the feud still circulating, the off-spinner attempted to clear the air, dismissing all such claims and asserting that his previous comments were aimed at the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

"I have no complaints against MS. In fact, he has been a good friend all these years. I have complained to the BCCI, the sarkar (government) of that time. I call BCCI as sarkar! The selectors of that time didn’t do justice to their roles. They didn’t allow the team to be united,” Harbhajan had said an interview with News 18.

On Friday, the former CSK spinner finally put an end to all rumors and speculation of a rift with Dhoni during an interview with SportsYaari, stating that they remain "good friends.

"Why would I have a problem with MS Dhoni? We played a lot of cricket for India and have been very, very good friends, and still are. He became busy with his life, and I became busy with mine, and we don't meet very often. But there's no rift whatsoever,"  the erstwhile cricketer added.

"As far as I know, he hasn't taken away any of my properties (laughs). But yes, I am interested in some of his properties, especially his farmhouse,"  the legendary bowler concluded.
