Mitchell Starc is undoubtedly one of the fiercest white-ball bowlers in world cricket. The pace has been a thorn in India's throat in the ongoing three-match One-Day International (ODI) series, claiming eight wickets in two matches already.

Starc sent India's top order into oblivion in the Vishakhapatnam ODI on Sunday to help Australia fold India for 117, claiming his ninth five-wicket haul in the format, putting him just behind Muttiah Muralitharan and Waqar Younis.

Starc is known for bowling at the stumps and not providing any room for the batters to hit, which contributes to his high percentage of bowled and leg-before dismissals.

Speaking in the post-match conference, Starc opened up about his bowling plans, which has been constant for the last 13 years.

As quoted by Foxsports, the 2015 World Cup winner stated that his role has been to get wickets upfront in the Powerplay.

Here's what Starc revealed

“My plan hasn’t changed for 13 years — bowl full, hit the stumps, try and swing it. That’s been my role for a long time, to try and get wickets up front in the Powerplay.  At times that means I’m probably more expensive, but I’m trying to bring in all modes of dismissal,"

The fast bowler further talked about winning an ODI series against India in their backyard, which will help Australia prepare for the upcoming ICC World Cup 2023, which is scheduled to be played in India.

The series decider will be played in Chennai on March 22.
