The 13.25 Crore-worth Harry Brook has finally proved his mettle in the extravagant Indian Premier League for Sunrisers Hyderabad. Against Kolkata Knight Riders, the silk-stocking batter amassed his maiden fifty in the tournament and is still going strong at Eden Gardens on Friday.

Brook went all guns blazing in the ongoing fixture from the word go. And he didn't take his off the peddle despite losing two wickets in a single over.

He completed his fifty off just 32 deliveries, slamming five fours and two maximums.

Brook began his assault against Umesh Yadav, smashing three boundaries in the first over before tonking two more sixers off the same bowler in his subsequent over.

Despite losing partners from the other end, the young batter has been equally potent against pace and spin.

The upcoming English star was handsomely supported by his skipper Aiden Markram, who hit a 26-ball 50 before getting dismantled by Varun Chakaravarthy.

At the time of writing, Brook is going marvellously, with SRH being at 140-3 in 15 overs.
